Jackson Academy - Last Friday night, Nicholas Jew broke his own rushing record, rushing for 333 yards and 5 touchdowns on 15 carries (in 3 quarters) against Pillow Academy.

Tupelo HS - Playing in the toughest 5A division in Mississippi, Tommy Pharr (6-2, 190), a senior kicker and punter, has made 19 of 20 PATS, kicked 23 of his 39 kick offs into the end zone (59%), made 8 of 9 field goal attempts (long of 49), and punting 27 times for a 44.1 average (16 of his punts were over 45 yards).

Vancleave - Johnny Peterson is a junior TB/CB for Vancleave. Although this is his first year to play football, he has rushed for 900 yards and 7 touchdowns. The 5-11, 170-pounder has a career high of 196 yards against Gautier HS.

Jackson Academy - JA has a 5-11, 185-pound running back who is doing very, very well this season. Nicholas Jew has rushed 100 or more yards in 6 of his team's 7 games this season. Nicholas holds the JA school rushing yards record (291 yards on 24 carries) in a 49-13 victory over Lee Academy.

For his efforts the week of Sept. 29-Oct 5, Nicholas was named the Clarion Ledger All Metro Player of the Week, The Jackson Touchdown Club High School Player of the Week, WAPT Blitz 16 Player of the Week, and ESPN Player of the Week.

Nicholas has over 990 yards and 15 TDs and approximately 130 carries this season for the No. 1 ranked Jackson Academy Raiders. He had 912 yards and 8 TDs last year as a junior.

He also ran track last year and was undefeated in the 300m hurdles with a MPSA state championship time of 39.37.
