01/26/00 - MS. Delta CC has a sophomore football player who bears watching this coming season. His name is Jarvis Spivey. If that name sounds familiar, it's because he has a younger brother, Robert Spivey, who is a linebacker at Clarksdale HS. Jarvis is a 6-4, 200-lb safety with great football speed. Look for great things from him next season.

Another player who will be heading to MS. Delta after this season is Ruleville Central HS senior defensive back Clarence Brown. Clarence, who was recruited by MSU and UM, is 6-2, 195, has excellent speed and is a big-time hitter.

01/22/00 - A player to watch at Miss. Delta CC next season is Meret McKinnie, a 6-2, 220 sophomore running back with 4.5/4.6 speed in the forty. Meret, who is originally from West Bolivar HS, backed up MDCC running back Danny Smith this past season.
