06/15/98 - In a surprise move, Ashland guard Leon Crawford has decided he will probably attend Northwest CC instead of Southern Miss as he earlier said he would. He said he wants to spend his first year of college closer to home and enroll in NW's drafting and design program. Source: The Clarion-Ledger.

06/14/98 - Noxapater High School's outstanding pitcher Andy Young committed to Meridian CC this past Wednesday. Don't be surprised if Andy is heavily recruited next year as he continues to develop his velocity and pitching skills. He is a qualifier and can leave Juco after one year.
