I talked to MSU signee Bunky Kateon's dad, John Kateon, last night. I hope to interview Bunky, a shortstop who played for St. Paul's Episcopal School in Mobile, Alabama, either today or tomorrow for a premium site interview. Here are a few highlights from Bunky's season this past spring.

  • His team, ranked 8th in the nation, won the 5A state title this year with a 41-4 record.
  • Hit .513, the third year in a row that he hit .500 or better. Batting second in the lineup, he led his team in runs scored and runs knocked in.
  • Named 5A player of the year.
