1997-1998 Mississippi State Basketball Recruiting Prospects

  • Robert Jackson (Signed with MSU) - 6-8, 255, F, Washington HS (Milwaukee, WI). Member of the USA Today All-USA Honorable Mention team. First-team All-State. Transferred to Marquette after his junior year after being suspended.
  • Michael Gholar (Signed with MSU) - 6-5, 205, F/G, Prentiss (MS) HS.
  • Joe Marshall (Signed with MSU) - 6-2, 195, College of Southern Idaho via Mobile, AL. Transferred after his junior year.
  • Tyrus Boswell (Resigned with MSU) - Winchenden Prep School via Mountain Brook, AL: Best player in Alabama, according to Kevin Henderson. Very solid 230-pound power forward. One of the best power forwards in the nation. Very good shooter from 17' in. Most so-called recruiting experts now list him as one of the national top 50 players. Alabama, Miss State, UAB. Transferred to another school after being suspended in his junior year.
