2000/2001 Mississippi State Men's Basketball Signees
WESLEY MORGAN (Signed with MSU) - 7-2, 230, Center, Gallatin, Tenn. Little known but talented player who needs to bulk up to play in the SEC. Excellent student was had a 4.0 gpa coming into his senior season of play. Came on strong during the middle of his senior season and lead his team into championship play in his team's classification. Committed to MSU during the summer of 2000. Camped at MSU's basketball camp the last two summers.
WINSOME FRAZIER (Signed with MSU) - 6-3, 185, WG, Miami Northwestern HS. Chose MSU over Auburn and Florida International. Top 50 player. Helped lead his team to the semi-finals of the state championship in his team's classification. Had 9 steals during that semi-final game. Extremely explosive player who should have an immediate impact his freshman year.
MARCUS CAMPBELL (Signed with MSU) - 7-1, 260, Center, Westover HS (Albany, Ga.). One of the top 25 centers in the nation. Very good offensive player who only needs to work on his defensive skills. Top 100 type player. Help lead his team to the state championship in their classification. Should have an immediate impact his freshman year.
MICHAEL IGNERSKI (Signed with MSU) - 6-9, 225, PF, Eastern Oklahoma State College. Excellent three-point shooter who shot in the 49% range from the three-point line. Hails originally from Lublin, Poland. Other top programs have shown a lot of interest in him but it is rumored MSU got in early with him before other programs knew about him. Should be an impact player next season. A lot of schools were recruiting Ignerski. Recently made the NJCAA D-I All-American team as a third-team selection. Michael is also an excellent student.
