Men's Basketball
STARKVILLE, Miss. Mississippi State Director of Athletics Larry Templeton announced Thursday the addition of two games to the school's men's basketball schedule.
The Bulldogs have added an exhibition home game with Sioux Falls of the Continental Basketball Association (Nov. 8) and a regular season road game at Santa Clara (Dec. 20).

Men's Basketball
OAKLAND, Calif. - The Golden State Warriors have signed 2003 second round draft choice Derrick Zimmerman to a contract, general manager Garry St. Jean announced today. Per team policy, terms of the deal were not released.
Zimmerman, 22, whom the Warriors selected with the 40th overall pick in this past June's NBA Draft, averaged 6.9 points, 3.3 rebounds, 4.0 assists and 1.61 steals in 127 games during a four-year career at Mississippi State. The 6-1 point guard established a school record with 514 career assists, while also posting a school-best in games played. Playing on the Warriors' summer league team in Los Angeles in early July, Zimmerman averaged 5.1 points, 3.0 rebounds, 4.7 assists and 1.14 steals in 36.1 minutes over seven games. He also led the team with six blocked shots.

STARKVILLE, Miss. Fourteen regular-season home games at Humphrey Coliseum and a non-conference contest at the BancorpSouth Center in Tupelo highlight Mississippi Statešs 2003-04 men's basketball schedule, released Thursday by the department of athletics.
Head coach Rick Stansbury's Bulldogs, coming off a third-straight postseason tournament appearance and second-consecutive NCAA showing, open the regular season Saturday, Nov. 22, against Tennessee-Martin at the Hump.
State will also play host to non-conference opponents South Alabama (Nov. 26), McNeese State (Dec. 1), Louisiana-Monroe (Dec. 3), and Xavier (Dec. 13). The Bulldogs will play host to New Orleans in Tupelo on Tuesday, Dec. 16.
MSU opens its Southeastern Conference season Wednesday, Jan. 7, at Mississippi. The Bulldog schedule shows home league games against Arkansas (Jan. 10), Kentucky (Jan. 13), Georgia (Jan. 24), and Tennessee (Jan. 28) in the month of January. Mississippi (Feb. 7), Alabama (Feb. 21), LSU (Feb. 25) and Auburn (March 3) complete State's home conference slate.
