Damarius Bilbo (Committed to Georgia Tech) - 6-3, 205, 4.6, Moss Point (MS) HS. Top quarterback in Mississippi this year. A Clarion-Ledger Dandy Dozen selection. Clarion-Ledger First Team All-State. Clarion-Ledger Player of the Year. Good student. Also a fairly good baseball player.
(1) Spencer Pennington (Committed to Alabama) - 6-4, 190, 4.7, Fayette (AL) HS. I saw him twice his sophomore year. Showed quick feet and a strong arm. One of the top two quarterbacks in the state of Alabama according to Crimson Connection. Good student. Also an outstanding baseball player who could be a high draft pick in the summer of 2001.
Kyle York (Committed to MSU) - 6-2, 200, Spring, Texas. A member of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram's Top 100 players in Texas. Academic All-State as well as All-State Athletically. Also considered Ok. State, Kansas and La. Tech.

Jeff Billings - 6-3, 225, 4.7, Sam Rayburn HS (Pasadena, TX.). Also plays LB. Selected as one of the top 14 linebackers in the Big-12 area in The G&W Preseason Recruiting Report.
Jabari Davis (Committed to Tennessee) - RB, 6-0, 230, 4.5, Stone Mountain (GA) HS. Rated as one of the top running backs in the nation by Tom Lemming, Prep Star and Max Emfinger. Made the PrepStar national Dream Team, one of only 20 running backs to do so. Also made the PrepStar Super 30 All-Southeastern Region team. The G&W Report lists him as their choice for top running back in the south and seventh best player overall. They also list him on their national All-American Team, one of only three running backs to make the team. Runs a 10.88 and has a 34" vertical leap. His cousin, Randy Davis, attended MSU.
Derek Farmer (Committed to Alabama) - 5-11, 185, 4.4, Lee HS (Tyler, TX.). Rated as one of the top five running backs in the state of Texas by Tom Lemming's Prep Football Report.
Coco Hodge (Committed to MSU) - 6-1, 235, 4.6, Clinton (MS) HS. Clarion-Ledger Second Team All-State. A Clarion-Ledger Dandy Dozen selection. Max Emfinger lists him as one of the top five fullbacks in the country.
Bradlon Huff (Will walk-on at MSU) - 6-1, 225, Co-Lin (MS) CC (Hometown - Meadville, MS). Bradlon was considered the top fullback in Mississippi HS in 1998 by the Jeff Whitaker Deep South Football Recruiting Guide.
Clifton Moore - 6-1, 217, 4.6, Amory (MS) HS. A Bulldog fan. Academics will probably send him to a juco prior to coming to State.

Darrius Swain (Committed to Miami) - TE, 6-5, 265, 4.65, Tucker (GA.) HS. According to Pigskin Preps, he is a super two-sport athlete who has a 36" vertical leap. Also plays DE. Schools: MSU, Miami, LSU, Georgia, Georgia Tech.

Michael Allen (Committed to MSU) - 6-4, 340, Northwest Miss. CC. An MSU/UM/IOWA recruiting battle.
Avery House (Committed to MSU) - 6-5, 285, 5.2, Springfield (AL) HS. Rated by all recruiting services as one of the top three offensive linemen in the state of Alabama. Very similar in ability to current MSU freshman offensive lineman David Stewart, another Alabama lineman who was underrated coming out of high school. MSU is rumored to be one of his final three choices.
Glenn Issac - 6-7, 320, Greenwood (MS) HS. Diamond in the rough offensive lineman whose MSU's coaching staff is known for finding.
Chris McNeil (Committed to MSU) - 6-5, 280, 5.0, Petal (MS) HS. Benches 375. Excellent student. Camped at MSU June of 2000. Clarion-Ledger First Team All-State. Max Emfinger has him listed as one of the top six offensive centers in the nation. Pigskin Preps has him listed as perhaps the top center prospect in the south. Had a phenomenal 144 pancake blocks this past season. The top true offensive center prospect to come out of Mississippi in years.
James Redmond - 6-8, 295, 5.1, Booker T. Washington HS (Atlanta, Ga.). One of the top OL in the south. Schools: Mississippi State, Georgia, Florida, Tennessee, South Carolina.
Chris Spencer (Committed to Mississippi) - 6-3, 300, 5.1, Madison Central HS (Madison, MS). Top offensive line prospect in Mississippi. Tremendously strong with a 700+ squat. A Clarion-Ledger Dandy Dozen selection. Clarion-Ledger First Team All-State. One of Prep Star's top 63 offensive linemen, nationally.
Cornelius "Tre" Stallings - 6-3, 305, 5.1, South Pike HS (McComb, MS). A Clarion-Ledger Dandy Dozen selection. Clarion-Ledger First Team All-State. Schools: MSU and UM.
Johnny "Big Daddy" Wadley (Committed to MSU) - 6-4, 345, Hernando HS. Clarion-Ledger First Team All-State. Nickname is Big Daddy.
Brad Weathers (Signed with MSU) - 6-5, 300, Liberty, MS (Amite County) Graduated from high school in spring 1998 and has spent the past two years on a Mormon church mission . . . One of seven offensive linemen from the Magnolia State selected to play in the Mississippi/Alabama High School All-Star game following his senior season . . . Ranked among the top eight offensive linemen in the state of Mississippi prior to his senior season at Amite County High School in Liberty, Miss., by the G&W Recruiting Report . . . Named second-team, all-state at offensive tackle by the Jackson Clarion-Ledger newspaper following his senior campaign . . . Ranked with the

Josh Embry - 6-3, 330, 5.1, Trinity Valley (TX) CC. Considered one of top defensive linemen in the juco ranks.
Ron Fields (Committed to MSU) - 6-3, 285, 4.85. Attended Hargrave (Va.) Military Academy prep school in Fall 2000 following his senior year of high school in Louisiana . . . Rated as the second best noseguard in the south by Pigskin Preps recruiting magazine . . . Credited with running 4.8 in the 40-yard dash by that publication . . . Named Class 4A, all-district during a breakout senior season . . . Registered 97 tackles, including 18 hits behind the line of scrimmage . . . Also recovered five fumbles . . . Kahlil Nash (Committed to MSU) - 6-4, 265, Arizona Western College (via Ole Miss by way of Mechanicsburg, PA.). First Team NJCAA 2000 All-American selection. One of the 12 finalists for NJCAA Player of the Year. Of the 12 finalists, only 2 were defensive linemen.
Michael Oyefesobi (Committed to MSU) - 6-4, 282, Arizona Western College via Miramar, Florida.
Shaun Smith - 6-3, 295, Butler County (KS) CC. Had 31 tackles for losses this past season. Included in those 31 tackles were 15 sacks. A CBS Sportsline/PrepStar JUCO All-American. Honorable Mention NJCC All-American. Number 33 on Max Emfinger's list of the top 117 juco players in the nation.
Dannie Snyder (Committed to MSU) - 6-3, 285, Arizona Western College (via Eudora, AR.).
Johnny Thomas - 6-3, 295, 4.7, Holmes CC. One of the most talented defensive linemen in the juco ranks. Academics are a concern.
Torran Williams (Committed to Florida) - 6-4, 300, 5.0, Dodge City (KS) CC. Torran is rated the 30th best player in the juco ranks, according to Max Emfinger, and was selected to the Kansas Jayhawk All-Conference Team as an honorable mention selection.

Defensive Player of the Year in the Kansas Jayhawk Football Conference. Possibly the top linebacker in the juco ranks.
Brandon Downing (Committed to MSU) - LB, 6-2, 220, 4.6, Clarksdale (MS) HS. May be the top linebacker in north Mississippi. Clarion-Ledger First Team All-State. A little known talent who Pigskin Preps selected as the South's Number One Sleeper. An MSU/OM battle.
Derrick Ducksworth (Committed to Tennessee) - 6-2, 225, 4.6, Mize (MS) HS. A Clarion-Ledger Dandy Dozen selection. Clarion-Ledger First Team All-State. Possibly the top linebacker in the state of Mississippi. Prep Star rates him among the top 43 linebackers in the nation. Probably between USM and MSU. Has a lot of family and friends that are associated with USM one way or the other that give USM a good shot at him. MSU and USM.
Kamau Jackson (Committed to MSU) - 6-1, 230, 4.6, Co-Lin (MS) CC (Atlanta, GA). First Team NJCAA 2000 All-American selection. Signed with MSU out of high school. Tremendously talented player who hits a ton. Number 22 on Max Emfinger's list of the top 117 juco players in the nation. One of the top five linebacker prospects in the juco ranks. Even with a knee injury (has had successful surgery), he was the second leading tackler in the Mississippi juco ranks this season.

Richard Ball (Committed to MSU) - 5-11, 185, 4.4, Fort Scott (KS) CC. First Team Kansas Jayhawk All-Conference. One of the top three cornerbacks in juco ball, according to The Clarion-Ledger.
Korey Banks (Signed with MSU) - 5-11, 175, 4.3, Garden City (KS) CC. CBS Sportsline/PrepStar JUCO All-American, J.C. Grid-Wire Second Team All-American, Honorable Mention NJCAA All-American, Number 26 on Max Emfinger's list of the top 117 juco players in the nation. First Team Kansas Jayhawk All-Conference. MO-KAN Football has him listed as a five star cornerback. Chose MSU over Michigan State, Kansas State and Arkansas.
Rico Bennett (Committed to MSU) - 6-1, 190, 4.5, Brandon HS. Recruiting analyst Tom Culpepper has him ranked as one of the three best players in the state of Mississippi, along with MSU commitment Clarence McDougal and Madison Central OL Chris Spencer. Rated by Pigskin Preps as one of the top six players in the state of Mississippi. Clarion-Ledger First Team All-State.
