GUARDS (1)

Stephen Cowherd - A 6-2, 180-pound playmaker from Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Fla., Cowherd averaged 23.7 points, 6.2 assists, 3.4 steals and 3.1 rebounds per contest a year ago in collecting Sun-Sentinel All-County first-team honors as well as earning third-team Class 6A All-State accolades for the second consecutive season. A four-year starter for coach Mike Benanti's Douglas High Eagles, Cowherd averaged 30 points per contest in four games during last December's prestigious Naples Gulfshore Shootout to garner all-tournament honors.

Branden Vincent - Vincent, a 6-8, 225-pound forward who played for Okaloosa-Walton Community College in Niceville, Fla. Last season as a freshman, Vincent averaged 7.9 points and 5.1 rebounds per outing in helping pace Okaloosa-Walton to both the FCCAA State and Region VIII championships en route to a sixth-place national finish in the 2001 NJCAA Tournament with a 29-6 record. A native of New Orleans, Vincent prepped at John Ehret High School in Marrero, La.
